      Welcome to Our Yoga Place! Home to the authentic practice of Yoga. Where every person regardless of their age, gender, belief, limitations, and experience can practice Yoga and get benefits from this timeless practice. We’re a unique synthesis of all the traditions of Yoga. You’ll find beginner-friendly classes as well as intermediate and advanced yoga classes in their authentic traditional form. We're conveniently located at the heart of East Singapore just adjacent to the Paya Lebar MRT station. We're home to authentic Yoga styles as well as some rare and unique features of our studio like Shuddhi Kriya section make us truely unique Yoga sanctuary. Bringing you the timeless pure Yoga practices in light with modern scientific understanding.

         We consider Yoga as a lifestyle. It is a way of life. What we learn on the mat; leaves impacts on our lives off the mat. As soon as you step in Our Yoga Place, immediately you'll connect with youeself. We believe in the synthesis of all Yoga styles. We are home to Ashtanga Yoga classes such as Ashtanga Primary Led, Ashtanga half led and Mysore classes. Were also home to Iyengar Yoga with state of the art facilities, props like Wall Ropes, Chairs, Bolsters, Blankets, Bricks, Belts and some rare props like Yoga Tresslor,Viparita Dandasana Bench, Sirsasana Bench etc. We conduct Iyengar Yoga Level 1, Level 2 and general level classes including special classes like Iyengar Back care, Iyengar Inversions etc. We host unique classes based on Yogic Cleansing Processes titled as 'Shuddhi Krama'. Types Of Classes we Offer

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is the most ancient style of Yoga practice. The class is static. We hold each pose for a few breaths. We focus on breathing and overall awareness of body. This class also includes some breathing techniques (Pranayama), relaxation and meditation. A perfect class for beginners to initiate and progress in Yoga practice. Also a nice class for intermediate and advanced practitioners to slow down and get back to the roots.

Hatha 1.5

This Hatha class may include some challenging poses and the holding time a little longer than Hatha Yoga class. Hatha Yoga is the most ancient style of Yoga practice. The class is static. We hold each pose for a few breaths. We focus on breathing and overall awareness of body. This class also includes some breathing techniques (Pranayama), relaxation and meditation. A perfect class for intermediate practitioners who are willing to step ahead in their Asana practice.

Iyengar Yoga 1

Iyengar Yoga is a unique style of Yoga where we focus on precision and in depth understanding of Asanas. Alignment of your asanas and corrections according to your body structure are given prime importance. We make use of Yoga props to make this process correct and comfortable. Poses are held for long time. The class will leave you refreshed.

Iyengar Yoga 2

Iyengar Yoga is a unique style of Yoga where we focus on precision and in depth understanding of Asanas. Alignment of your asanas and corrections according to your body structure are given prime importance. We make use of Yoga props to make this process correct and comfortable. Poses are held for long time. The class will leave you refreshed. • Suitable for practitioners with consistent practice of Iyengar Yoga. We hold poses in this class for considerably long. The practices can be quite challenging.

Hatha Back Care

A therapeutic class for practitioners suffering from back ache or simply who want to prevent yourself from back pain.

Mysore

This is a style of Yoga practice initiated by T. Krishnamacharya in Mysore, India. It is a set sequence of Asanas practiced with very particular gaze with Ujjayi Pranayama. In this class we follow the traditional way of teaching. There are minimal instructions. Teacher is around to assist and correct. Practitioners are expected to know the whole sequence and independently able to practice it. Usually practitioners take teacher's advise if they're ready for the class.

Neck and Shoulders

Neck and shoulder pains and tensions are common. this class is to release those tensions. We include gentle movements and basic Asanas to help realign and refresh your upper body. Ideal class for beginners to initiate into Yoga practice.

Pranayama and Meditation

Yogic breathing techniques are the best way to improve your lungs' health. As the world has seen a deadly pandemic, it's more important to keep your respiratory health on high priority. This class will prepare practitioners for Pranayama, and eventually from Pranayama lead to more clear and peaceful mind. This one class can charge you for the whole week's stress and tensions if followed regularly.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga class is beneficial for those seeking relaxation, re-energising and restoring their energies through gentle and supported Yoga poses. It is suitable for beginners. An ideal class after a long tiring day or after a strong and exhausting asana practice. We practice poses with the help of many props.

Shuddhi Krama

This is our signature class that consists of Asanas, Pranayama and Shuddhi Kriyas (Yogic cleansing processes). We have a dedicated section where you’ll learn and practice Yogic cleansing processes like Jala Neti, Sutra Neti, Bhalabhati etc. as mentioned in Hathayogic tradition. Shuddhi Krama is a beginners friendly class to know the simple yet effective cleansing techniques of Yoga. In case of medical conditions, practitioners must ask the teacher if the class is suitable for them.

Vinyasa 1.5

A gentle yet dynamic session focused on synchrony of movement and breath. We hold asanas for short time and as we move from pose to pose, we maintain the rhythm. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. Suitable for new practitioners and students who want to increase their knowledge of the fundamental Vinyasa sequences and breath alignment. This class sets the foundation for all the other Vinyasa classes.

Vinyasa 2

A dynamic session focused on synchrony of movement and breath. We hold asanas for short time and as we move from pose to pose, we maintain the rhythm. Some pranayama, chanting and meditation may be included. • Suitable for advanced practitioners who have been practicing Vinyasa regularly. Challenging poses with arm balances, inversions will be included in the class.

Wall Rope Yoga

Based on the teachings of Guruji BKS Iyengar, the Wall Rope Yoga class uses ropes to help support practitioners in multiple Asanas and maximise the benefits of their practice. Beginners are welcome to join this class. A refreshing and unique experience awaits ahead!

Yin Yoga

A simple class to soothe you down with soft music at the background. This practice is designed to help you sit longer, and more comfortably, in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine). A passive practice, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and supine poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia. Great class to conclude your day with!

Yoga Therapy

A therapeutic class for people suffering different ailments. A very good class to reenergise yourself through supported yoga poses, breathing techniques and meditation. Gentle and corrective asanas help practitioners to re-align their movements and energies equally. This class can effectively relieve fatigue, exertion, or low energy levels.
